On Monday, April 14, Amtrak Thruway bus drivers will begin scanning multi-ride tickets again on bus trips to and from the Sacramento Station. This includes trips serving Roseville, Rocklin, and Auburn.
Earlier in the year, bus drivers were instructed to stop scanning ten-ride tickets because of a software glitch that resulted in two rides being deducted instead of one. Amtrak has successfully resolved the issue for the Sacramento Station, which means that passengers will now be able to have their tickets scanned on Thruway buses at this location.
Amtrak continues to work on a resolution to the same problem for Thruway buses to and from San Francisco, so drivers of these trips have not yet resumed scanning tickets. We’ll let you know when this issue is resolved for San Francisco bus connections.
