On Saturday, September 24, all bus service to and from the Pier 39/Fisherman’s Wharf (SFW) bus stop will be suspended between 6am and 6pm due to the San Francisco Fire Department’s 150th anniversary event taking place between Pier 39 and Pier 45. This means there will be no connecting bus service to Pier 39 from westbound trains 727 and 729 in the morning. These buses will, however, stop at the Transbay Temporary Terminal (SFC). Passengers can get to Pier 39 from the Transbay Temporary Terminal by walking to Market St., and taking the Muni F Line. Also suspended is Bus 6692 connecting to eastbound train 742. Bus 6694 connecting to eastbound train 744 will provide service from Pier 39, departing at 6:45pm.
On Sunday, September 25, the Pier 39 bus stop will also be suspended, but only in the morning, due to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Bus 6677 connecting from westbound Train 727 and Bus 6679 connecting from Train 729 will not stop at Pier 39, but will provide service to the Transbay Temporary Terminal. Afternoon buses 6692 and 6694, connecting to trains 742 and 744 respectively, will be in service.
As an alternative, passengers traveling to San Francisco this weekend may consider taking the train to either the Richmond Station or Oakland Coliseum Station for a BART connection to downtown San Francisco.
