CC Rail Mail – November 24, 2012

Future of Bikes is Un-Folding in Oakland!

It’s a common challenge: you’d love to bring your bike onboard a Capitol Corridor train, but storage space is limited and leaving it in the aisle is a safety hazard. What’s a bicycle enthusiast to do? The solution: Folding Bicycles! These increasingly sophisticated bikes are perfect not just for getting around urban settings, but also for riding to and from Capitol Corridor trains. In fact, folding bikes figure prominently in the Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority’s (CCJPA) plan to address safe bike storage on its trains.

Bay Area Bikes and the CCJPA invite you to come out to the Jack London Square Station on November 28 from 2pm – 6pm to see the latest advances in folding bicycles. Manufacturers including Brompton and Tern will be on hand with plenty of bicycles and will be happy to answer questions and let you take a test drive. Stop by to get discounts on folding bikes and enter to win great prizes. Event details are below. Hope to see you there!
When: Wednesday, November 28 from 2pm – 6pm
Where: Jack London Square Station (245 2nd St. Oakland, CA 94607) Cost: No charge! The event is open to the public
