MARCH 3, 2020, OAKLAND, CA – With baseball season around the corner, the Capitol Corridor has teamed up with the Oakland A’s to make it easier and more economical for fans to travel to home baseball games at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. As part of its ongoing partnership with the Oakland A’s, the Capitol Corridor is offering a train discount of 25% for fans who ride the Capitol Corridor to A’s home games at the Coliseum. The discount is good from March 1, 2020 through the end of the season, including postseason.
“The A’s have been an amazing partner for over a decade and fans have come to enjoy the convenience of taking the train to the Coliseum to see the team in action,” said Rob Padgette, Managing Director of the Capitol Corridor. “With trains stopping just steps from the ballpark, our service reduces traffic to and from games and gives fans a fun and easy way to reduce their carbon footprint.”
In addition to the 25% travel discount, the Capitol Corridor is launching a special, early-season sweepstakes in which one winner will receive four tickets to the April 12th game against the New York Yankees courtesy of the Oakland Athletics. The winner will also receive four round-trip Capitol Corridor train tickets for travel to and from the game and will be greeted at the Oakland Coliseum Station platform by the A’s mascot, Stomper.
