Capitol Corridor service now restored as of 8pm. Regularly scheduled service to resume on Monday, 8/25/14. Please check back for any residual delays during the Monday morning commute.
Due to this morning’s 6.1 magnitude earthquake in the American Canyon/Napa County region, Union Pacific closed tracks to both freight and passenger trains so they could conduct a thorough inspection of all tracks and bridges to ensure they are safe for operation. Service was suspended and trains were cancelled or delayed while Union Pacific completed its inspections. Service was slowly restored along the route beginning in the afternoon as the tracks were cleared for traffic.
We thank you for your patience today while these safety inspections were taking place, and we regret the inconvenience it may have caused.
