Highway 50 Reopened
Highway 50 has reopened ahead of schedule, and Capitol Corridor Thruway Bus Route 20c has resumed regularly scheduled service Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. As construction is still ongoing, please note that there will be one-way, alternating-lane controlled traffic Monday through Friday for approximately six weeks. Caltrans announced on April 29, 2011 that it will temporarily close U.S. Highway 50 at Echo Summit for a two week period beginning May 11th, 2011 (depending on weather).
