Due to winter weather in the Sierra resulting in chain controls on both I-80 and Hwy 50, passengers using connecting bus service to the Lake Tahoe area may experience travel delays.
Also, those buses serving South Lake Tahoe — buses 3424 and 3447 connecting with trains 524 and 547, respectively, in Sacramento — will be detouring to avoid Hwy 50. The detour will take passengers to Truckee (TRU) via I-80 and then around the Lake to the various South Lake Tahoe (SLH-SLN-SLT) stops. This will require the buses to bypass the Placerville (PCV) stop. Any passengers reserved going to/from PCV will be provided alternate transportation.
