“Outside My Window” Photo Contest: Submit Your Favorite Images from the Train


Every day on our social media channels, we see gorgeous pictures taken by our riders of the scenery along the Capitol Corridor. Now we’re giving you the opportunity to show us your photography chops and showcase the beauty of your train ride by entering our fall photo contest. The theme is “Outside My Window”, and as the name suggests, we’re looking for digital images that best capture beautiful views along the route. To enter, all you have to do is submit your amazing landscape image from the Capitol Corridor train between now and October 22, and encourage your friends to vote for your image during the voting period between October 23 and November 5, 2016. We look forward to seeing your great photos!

From the Blog: Trains, Planes and No Automobiles – A European Vacation Made Easy on the Capitol Corridor


It’s always great to hear from passengers about their travel experiences. This summer, we had an especially good one from Mike Sullivan, who planned an epic three-week trip to Europe with 11 neighbors. Knowing that traffic between Sacramento and San Francisco would be a problem, they decided instead to take the Capitol Corridor train from downtown Sacramento to the Richmond Station, where they transferred to BART for service to SFO. Cal Athletics Basketball Tickets Now Available

Season tickets for the 2016-2017 Cal Basketball season inside Haas Pavilion are now available for purchase on the Cal Athletics website. The men’s home schedule is highlighted by matchups against 2016 Elite Eight participant Virginia, and conference foes Arizona, Stanford, and Oregon. The women’s home schedule features the third annual School Haas Rock game on November 18 against UC Riverside as well as match ups against conference foes UCLA, Stanford, and Oregon State.
