We’ve got a lot to brag about at Capitol Corridor! As of February, 2015, our year-to-date on-time performance was 93.4%—the highest in the Amtrak system. Woot woot! In addition, the monthly customer satisfaction survey for January revealed that 86% of our passengers are “Very Satisfied” with their on-board experience. Another woot woot! Overall, passengers felt comfortable, safe, and well-informed while riding Capitol Corridor. Lastly, we hit an exciting milestone this past week by surpassing 10,000 Facebook fans! Thank you for following and connecting with us on social media. Woot woot!

This success is the result of the efforts between the staff at Capitol Corridor and our partners at Amtrak and Union Pacific Railroad. Together, we work hard to ensure that the overall experience for our passengers, both at the station and on-board the train, is convenient, safe, and enjoyable. Rack Up Amtrak Guest Rewards Points with Double Days and Referrals

The Double Days are back, and if you’re not already an Amtrak Guest Rewards member, now is a great time to join! Starting March 16, Amtrak Guest Rewards members will earn double points when traveling with Amtrak anytime through May 16, 2015, and that includes all travel on Capitol Corridor. In order to participate, you must first become an Amtrak Guest Rewards member and then register for the Double Days Promotion at: amtrakguestrewards.com/doubledays.

As an Amtrak Guest Rewards member, you can also earn points by referring a friend to Capitol Corridor or other Amtrak routes. For each referral you make, you’ll receive 500 points. Refer just three people, and you could earn a free trip on the Capitol Corridor, San Joaquin, or Pacific Surfliner routes! Upcoming St. Patrick’s Day Festivities

Get your green on for St. Patrick’s Day! This Saturday, March 14, check out the celebrations in San Francisco and Sacramento. The St. Patrick’s Day Festival in San Francisco will occur from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Civic Center Plaza, with the parade starting at 11:30 a.m. The Sacramento Parade starts at 1 p.m. in Old Sacramento, with live entertainment before and after the parade from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. And for all those beer aficionados out there, take a look at some local brew pubs and taprooms along the Capitol Corridor route. Courtesy Reminder—One Ticket, One Seat

As you ride the train, please be mindful of fellow passengers by taking up only one seat and keeping your voice at a reasonable indoor level. Leave seats open for others by keeping your feet off the seats and your bags at your feet. If your carry-on items are too big to put at your feet, please store them either in the luggage racks or the overhead bins. Thank you!
