New Schedule and New Station Opening November 13!

On Monday, November 13, the Capitol Corridor’s new train and bus schedule will go into effect. Please be sure to review it before planning your travel. The new schedule includes a new station stop at Fairfield-Vacaville (tickets for this station are now on sale!), as well as a new bus stop on the UC Santa Barbara campus. There are adjustments to the departure times of some trains and buses by five to 15 minutes, and station stops for trains will be shorter. The Capitol Corridor looks forward to providing safe, reliable, and stress-free transportation to our new community of riders!

Sleek New Charger Locomotives Now in Service

Six shiny new charger locomotives are now leading the way for the Capitol Corridor fleet and setting the bar high for rail travel in California. First introduced at the California Passenger Rail Summit in April 2017, the new locomotives are the cleanest burning diesel engines in the nation with their nationally certified Tier IV emissions. Passengers will enjoy an even better ride, as the locomotives are quieter and allow for smoother transitions between braking and accelerating. Be on the look out for a charger leading your next train!

Plan Ahead for Thanksgiving Travel

It’s never too early to plan for the holidays, and the Capitol Corridor wants to get you where you need to go to spend time with friends and family. In order to accommodate all of our holiday travelers, there will be some added bus service the weekend before and after Thanksgiving for the following universities: Cal Poly, Chico State, and Humboldt State. As always students save 15% on train tickets when they carry a valid student I.D.! Please note that reservations are required for bus travel and seats will sell out.
