CC Rail Mail: Super Bowl Countdown, New Amtrak Guest Rewards Program, Win Harlem Globetrotters Tickets, Take the Capitol Corridor to SF Beer Week

The Super Bowl Countdown is On!

As you may know, Super 50 will be played this year at Levi’s® Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday, February 7. With service to the Santa Clara/Great America Station, just steps from the stadium, Capitol Corridor is a proud transportation partner. Please see our new web page dedicated solely to the Super Bowl, www.capitolcorridor.org/SB50. On this page, you’ll find information about special gameday service and train ticket sales, plus how regular service will be impacted, including suspension of some service to and from San Francisco bus stops (except Transbay Terminal) beginning on January 23. For more details on how service will be impacted leading up to and during the Super Bowl, you can view the News story on our website.

Amtrak Introduces New Guest Rewards Program

On January 24, 2016, Amtrak will launch a new Guest Rewards Program that will make redeeming travel points easier for Capitol Corridor customers. Under the new program, the redemption minimum has been lowered to 800 points, compared to the current minimum of 1,500 points. There will also be more redemption opportunities, an enhanced booking experience on Amtrak.com and the Amtrak mobile app, elimination of blackout dates, and expanded opportunities to use the program for Amtrak travel and beyond. Currently, Guest Rewards members receive a 100-point minimum on each segment of their trip, including bus connections. With the new program, AGR members will receive two points for every dollar spent on Amtrak train travel, independent of travel segments. And, with the introduction of the Amtrak Guest rewards Credit Card, members can earn more points on Amtrak purchases, other travel purchases and items from a number of retailers. For more details on the new Guest Rewards program, visit www.AmtrakGuestRewards.com/RideOn.
