Capitol Corridor Awarded $13.1 Million in State Rail Assistance Funds
We’re helping to keep California moving! In case you missed it, last week the California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA) approved several projects we submitted in December for State Rail Assistance (SRA) program funds made possible by the passage of Senate Bill 1 (SB 1). From the funds, totaling $51.9 million for seven agencies, the Capitol Corridor is receiving $13.1 million to be used through 2020 for projects that will allow us to improve service and expand frequency; enhance safety along the right-of-way; upgrade outdated signal systems to reduce train delays; and deliver better passenger information during service disruptions. We look forward to moving ahead on these vital projects to improve service and safety along the Capitol Corridor.
