The next regularly scheduled Capitol Corridor Timetable change will
occur October 26, 2009. There will be no changes to our current train
schedule, some motorcoach bus times will be adjusted for Winter. The
new schedules are now available at staffed Amtrak stations and an
electronic version of the schedule is now posted online at

Upcoming November track work – modified train schedule Nov. 7-22
*****************************************************
Union Pacific will be upgrading track infrastructure near the
Suisun/Fairfield station, where they will replace a railroad bridge at
their own expense. This work is designed to keep the railroad in good
condition so trains can operate reliably and is expected to last
approximately two weeks from November 7-22, 2009. Capitol Corridor
will return to its full schedule beginning Monday, November 23 2009.
Thank you in advance for your patience, understanding and cooperation.

Changes to Train Schedule
The following trains will be suspended during the construction period
to give Union Pacific extra time to work. These trains WILL NOT
OPERATE from Nov. 7-22, 2009:
Eastbound Trains: 526, 534
Westbound Trains: 527, 533

There will be no service (train or bus) for the above trains. Other
trains may operate on a modified schedule to accomodate the work crew.

H1N1 and Capitol Corridor
*****************************************************
Capitol Corridor and Amtrak are working together to help prevent the
spread of H1N1. Please be assured of the following:
• As of this writing, there are NO train-related travel advisories and
NO cases of H1N1 on Capitol Corridor trains or facilities have been
reported to CCJPA.
• All Capitol Corridor crews have been advised by Amtrak of H1N1
symptoms and have been directed to review Amtrak procedures regarding
Serious Communicable Diseases.
• In accordance with the hygiene practices advised by the Center for
Disease Control (CDC), Amtrak employees have been advised to take
precautions, such as thorough and frequent hand washing.
Human-to-human spread of H1N1 occurs in the same way as regular
seasonal flu, through the coughing or sneezing of infected people.
• For the safety of all on board, Amtrak as our operating partner
retains the right to refuse travel or remove from a train any
passenger who poses a health hazard to other passengers or employees.
As a reminder, this policy is printed on the back of each ticket and
posted on Amtrak.com.

Simple Tips to Stay Healthy

follow these simple tips to prevent catching and spreading the flu:
The CDC recommends the following everyday actions people can take to
stay healthy:
• Wash hands frequently.
• Cover your cough.
• If you have a fever, stay home for at least 24 hours after the fever
has ended.
