Big Changes in Sacramento: Station Renovation and eLocker Bike Parking

You may have noticed some exciting changes at the Sacramento Station. On Thursday, February 23, the City of Sacramento celebrated the grand re-opening of the Sacramento Station, which underwent a renovation to restore the 91-year old building to its original glory. The renovation, which includes the addition of 25,000 square feet of mixed-use, leasable space and a new ticket and baggage area, will improve the experience for rail and transit passengers. The Capitol Corridor is also making it easier for people to use the Sacramento Station by adding 40 BikeLink eLockers so riders can park their bikes safely at the station instead of bringing them on the train. The lockers, which can be accessed with a BikeLink card (available to buy in the Café Car), are fully enclosed and provide secure bike parking for only 5¢ an hour. Check out our news article to learn more and see which Capitol Corridor stations have eLockers.
