From the Managing Director: Holiday Greetings & Year in Review

It was a great year for Capitol Corridor. Read our Managing Director’s holiday message for a recap of 2015.

Most San Francisco Bus Stops Suspended 1/23-2/12/16

Due to Super Bowl 50 preparations and events in San Francisco leading up to gameday on February 7, 2016 in Santa Clara, Capitol Corridor is suspending bus service to and from the San Francisco bus stops – with the exception of the Transbay Temporary Terminal – between January 23 and February 12, 2016. This will include weekday and weekend service at the following stops: Hyatt/Financial District (SFF), Moscone Center (SFM), Shopping Center (SFS), Civic Center (SFV), and Fisherman’s Wharf (SFW). Buses between Emeryville and San Francisco will run according to their regular schedule; however, they will only drop off and pick up at the Transbay Temporary Terminal. Read here for more information about how the Super Bowl will impact Capitol Corridor service.

From the Blog: Take the Train to Lake Tahoe for a Winter Escape

Now that we’re having real winter weather here in Northern California, it’s the perfect time to plan a trip to the mountains for some fun in the snow. Did you know you can take the Capitol Corridor train, with a dedicated bus connection, straight to Truckee in North Lake Tahoe, or to South Lake Tahoe? Say goodbye to Tahoe traffic hassles, and find out how to get there on the Capitol Corridor by reading our latest post from the Get on Board blog.

Harlem Globetrotters Coming to Town

This January, the Harlem Globetrotters are making stops in the Bay Area and Sacramento as a part of their epic 90th anniversary tour, and you can take the Capitol Corridor to get in on the basketball wizardry and action! The Globetrotters will play at Oracle Arena in Oakland and the SAP Center in San Jose, both directly accessible by train, in addition to the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento.
