On Thursday, December 30, buses are expected to resume service between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe/Stateline and between Auburn and Truckee/Reno. Travelers should expect delays, and more cancellations are possible as we monitor weather and road conditions.

Due to ongoing winter weather conditions and highway closures in the Sierra, connecting bus service between Auburn and Truckee/Reno and between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe/Stateline have been cancelled on the following days:

  • Wednesday, December 29

More Reno & South Lake Tahoe Connecting Bus Service to Resume on Wednesday, December 29; Delays & Further Cancellations Possible

Due to severe winter storm conditions expected through the early part of next week, ALL connecting bus trips east of Auburn to Truckee and Reno and between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe/Stateline have been cancelled on Monday, December 13 and Tuesday, December 14. On Thursday, December 9, 2021, a new schedule will go into effect for the Highway 17 connecting bus service which travels between San Jose and Santa Cruz. Most changes are slight and have a 5 to 10-minute shift in departure times; however, one notable change is there will be no connection to train 524, and the first weekday train connection from Santa Cruz to San Jose will be train 528.
