1. 2012-14 Draft Business Plan and Public Workshops
The CCJPA has made the draft version of its 2012-14 Business Plan available to the public. We invite you to provide input and comments on this draft. Capitol Corridor will hold public workshops to discuss the business plan, as well as future plans for Capitol Corridor.
You can view the public workshop schedule on the Business Plan page of the CCJPA website and download the draft version of the plan for review.

2. Waterfront Café coming to Suisun City Train Station
On February 1, 2012 a new café will open in the Suisun City Train Station, providing convenient food service and a unique atmosphere for commuters, transit users and nearby office workers.
Local entrepreneurs Tina Montez and Kevin Smith are working to launch The Waterfront Café soon, featuring as many local, healthy and sustainable products as possible. The Café will be open by 6am on weekdays to serve commuters using the Capitol Corridor.

3. Bicycle Policy Update
Capitol Corridor will be implementing a change to our bicycle policy in the coming months. This change is in response to increased ridership in general and specifically, the corresponding growth in bike usage over the past few years. We encourage you to learn more about the policy changes, its background and how the change may impact you. During the coming months, conductors will be making announcements about the policy changes and will begin placing ‘warning’ hang-tags on bicycles that are improperly stowed to help passengers learn about what will/won’t be accepted as part of the new policy. We encourage you to read more about the the updated bicycle policy on capitolcorridor.org and the viewpoint of our Managing Director in his blog.

As in previous Bay Bridge closures, the CCJPA will institute with Amtrak a temporary operating plan in response to one way closure whereby Capitol Corridor passengers will be re-accommodated on BART trains from Richmond to Embarcadero Station in San Francisco, and vice versa. There will be no Amtrak Thruway Bus service between Emeryville, the regular transfer station, to San Francisco via the Bay Bridge, nor will there be Amtrak Thruway Bus service between San Francisco and Emeryville over the same weekend. Please watch the Capitol Corridor web site for additional information in the next few weeks.

6. Sacramento Valley Station Parking Lot Construction Update
As part of the overall track relocation and new platform construction project, the City’s contractor has finished installing the 42” water pipeline and will start a paving restoration project of the parking areas surrounding the existing Sacramento depot.
