Northern Californian music lovers don’t have to drive to Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park in San Jose to enjoy the AT&T San Jose Jazz Festival this weekend—they can board one of Capitol Corridor’s trains instead!  Capitol Corridor’s passenger train service is a smooth and affordable way to get to San Jose. With 16 stations in eight Northern California counties, music fans can hop aboard the train and relax on their way to Silicon Valley’s premiere live music destination. Once on board, passengers can get free ticket transfers for the Santa Clara Valley Transit Authority (VTA) Downtown Area Shuttle (DASH) to make the connection between the Capitol Corridor/Amtrak San Jose station and the festival site.
Held August 13-15, this year’s line-up has an international flavor coupled with a diverse lineup that will please lovers of all genres of music.
Festival highlights include renowned jazz great John Handy, six-time GRAMMY® Award-nominee Nnenna Freelon, P-Funk artist George Clinton, funk and soul jazz saxophone player Maceo Parker and a wide spectrum of musical performances by blues, standard and new groove jazz, Brazilian, Salsa and old-school funk artists.
